Plan first

Turn each family goal into a number and a date

Goal planning in nyvo starts with what the money is for and when it will be needed. The app turns retirement, education, financial independence and other family priorities into dated target amounts, accounts for inflation, and maps each goal to an asset mix suited to its horizon rather than applying one generic portfolio to everything.

What this gives you

Targets in future rupees

A goal is inflated from today's cost to the year it is due, so the plan is not anchored to a number that loses purchasing power.

A horizon for every goal

Money needed soon is not invested like money needed decades from now. Each target gets its own time frame and risk budget.

One monthly plan

Individual goal requirements are combined into a practical family contribution plan, with trade-offs visible when every goal cannot be fully funded at once.

How it works

  1. 1

    Name the goal

Choose the family priority, the target year and what it would cost in today's money.

  2. 2

    Test the assumptions

Review inflation, expected return and the amount already saved. These are assumptions, not guaranteed outcomes.

  3. 3

    Track and revisit

Update the goal as life changes. The app shows whether current contributions and investments remain on track.

Important boundaries

  • Projected returns are assumptions, not promises.
  • Near-term goals should not depend on equity returns arriving on schedule.
  • A plan is reviewed when income, costs, dates or family priorities change.

Questions people ask

Which goals can I plan in nyvo?
Common goals include retirement, a child's education, financial independence, a home and large family expenses. You can also keep emergency and lifestyle money separate from long-term goals.
How does nyvo account for inflation?
The app projects today's target cost to the goal year using an explicit inflation assumption. Changing the rate changes the target, so the assumption remains visible.
Does every goal use the same portfolio?
No. Asset allocation depends on the time remaining, flexibility and risk capacity for that specific goal.
What if I cannot fund every goal today?
The plan makes the shortfall visible so goals can be prioritised, dates adjusted or contributions stepped up without pretending the gap does not exist.
