Dated reference tables

Rates and tax slabs for India

A rate without its period is easy to misuse. Every table here names the window it covers, the date it was checked and the primary source used. The pages separate government small-savings rates, which are reviewed quarterly, from income-tax rules, which are tied to a tax year.

Why there is no undated “current rate” list

Government notifications, tax rules and bank deposit cards do not change on the same schedule. A number copied out of its original period can remain plausible after it has stopped being applicable. These references therefore show an effective window beside the number and keep the source link visible to the reader.

Bank fixed-deposit rates are not included yet. They vary by bank, tenure, deposit size, customer type and booking date, and can change without a common quarterly notification. Publishing dozens of bank pages without an owned verification process would create stale financial information rather than a useful reference.
