How Know Your Customer (KYC) works

It commonly verifies identity, address, PAN and other prescribed information through regulated intermediaries. KYC completion does not mean a product is approved for the investor or free of risk.

An example

An investor may complete KYC once through an authorised registration agency and then update details when address, name or prescribed information changes.

Why it matters for your family

Keep details current across family accounts so transactions, nominations and service requests are not delayed, and never share OTPs or passwords with someone offering to complete KYC informally.
