A Statement of Additional Information contains mutual-fund information that applies across schemes of a fund, including its legal and operational framework.

How Statement of Additional Information (SAI) works

It complements the Scheme Information Document rather than describing one portfolio alone. The current SAI, SID, KIM and addenda together form the relevant disclosure set.

An example

An investor may find common service-provider, sponsor or governance details in the SAI while scheme-specific risk and strategy remain in the SID.

Why it matters for your family

Families rarely need to memorise the document, but should know where legal structure and common operating terms can be verified before a large commitment.
