A Consolidated Account Statement (CAS) lists your mutual fund folios across fund houses in one PDF, and if you have a demat account, your demat holdings too. You can request one from CAMS or KFintech by email, or wait for the one a depository sends you.
The two kinds of CAS
Mutual fund CAS, from CAMS or KFintech. These are the registrars that keep investor records for fund houses. You request this one yourself, and choose the period it covers.
Depository CAS, from NSDL or CDSL. If you have a demat account, your depository consolidates your demat and mutual fund holdings by PAN. Under SEBI's rules, it emails a CAS every month you have a transaction, and every six months if you don't.
How to request a CAS from KFintech
- Open KFintech's Consolidated Account Statement page.
- Choose Summary or Detailed.
- Choose the period: current financial year, previous financial year or a specific period. There is also an option to include folios with a zero balance.
- Enter the email registered in your folios. PAN is optional.
- Set a password of at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character.
- Complete the security check and submit.
The PDF is sent to your registered email. KFintech's page describes the service for folios "across Funds serviced by CAMS and KFintech".

How to request a CAS from CAMS
Use the CAS request page on camsonline.com. The steps are similar: choose the statement and period, enter your registered email, set a password and submit. The form lists its password rules, which aren't identical to KFintech's.
How to get the NSDL or CDSL CAS
You don't need to request it if your email is registered: it arrives by email. NSDL and CDSL both explain their statements on their own sites.
Common problems
- Some folios are missing. The statement goes to the email in your folios, so a folio with a different email may be left out. Request one with that email too.
- No email arrived. Check your spam folder, and confirm you used the email registered in your folios.
- The PDF won't open. For CAMS and KFintech, use the password you set on the form.
What to look for once you have it
Check the scheme name of each folio. It says whether the plan is Direct or Regular, and the direct vs regular calculator shows what the difference can cost over time. A detailed statement also gives you the dated transactions you need for the XIRR calculator.
